Obituary of Lynn J. Quackenbush

Quackenbush, Lynn Jay Fosters, Michigan Mr. Quackenbush, passed away peacefully at his home in Fosters, Michigan on Sunday May 21, 2017. Lynn was born on October 29, 1935 in Fosters to the late Bryan Jay and Vernice (Simmons) Quackenbush. He married the former Nancy May Cummings on November 6, 1954. Lynn was one of the first certified mechanics in the State of Michigan. He owned and operated Quackenbush Service and Quackenbush Trucking for many years before retiring in 1998. Mr. Quackenbush is survived by a daughter and three sons; Diane (James) Douglas, Chris J. Quackenbush, Gene R. (Christine) Quackenbush and Timothy J. Quackenbush. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Jerilyn (Brian) Lutz, Nancy Linton and Gail (Tom) Renner as well as many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, son Jay Bryan Quackenbush, and sister Marilyn Crandall. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday May 26, 2017 at the Cook Cemetery, Taymouth Township, Michigan, Reverend Tom McNamara will officiate. A luncheon will follow at SS Francis & Claire Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Birch Run.
