I'm so very sorry for your loss, Gail (and family). I wrote this poem a few years back and thought I'd share it with you.
ANGELS
ON AN SUMMER NIGHT
By Jeanne Metevia Butzin
It wasn't so very long ago
That angels dressed in white
Carried you off to Heaven
On a starlit summer night.
I remember the moment I heard the news
That God had called you home.
How would I manage without you,
Now lost and all alone?
The tears I shed were for you, I thought.
I learned later that wasn't true.
The tears that fell were for me alone—
How could they have been for you?
You walk with Jesus in Paradise
While I struggle to find my way.
I wonder, do you still see me
Or hear me when I pray?
And then in my dreams you come to me
And comfort me as I sleep.
You whisper softly in my ear,
"Dry your eyes now, don't you weep.
"I'm home at last and out of pain;
You'll be here one day too.
Until then, remember,
God and I are watching you.
"The love we shared
Can't be taken away—
In a moment we'll be together.
We'll walk on clouds, your hand in mine,
In Paradise…forever.
"Until that time, praise God
And give thanks
For those angels dressed in white.
They carried me home
To the arms of our Lord
On that starlit summer night."
Romans 15:13
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy
and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope,
through the power of the Holy Ghost.

I will always remember Lynn with a smile on his face and laughing. He was friendly and loved his family. He will be missed. God bless him and those who are having a hard time smiling as he often did. Rest In Peace Lynn.
