Obituary of William B. Poineau
POINEAU, WILLIAM B.
Saginaw, MI
William, age 81 went home to be with the Lord
February 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born
September 13, 1935 in Saginaw MI to the late Louis and
Catherine "Kate" (Brzeckiewicz) Poineau. He married Gail M. McLeod
on May 11, 1963 in Saginaw, and she survives him. He retired from B & O, C & O
and CSX Railroads after 42 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1962.
He enjoyed life, fishing, and camping with his wife Gail and his children, grandchildren and great
Grandchildren. He enjoyed playing with trains with his grandchildren, baking and cooking, especially making rock candy and peanut brittle. He also had many stories to tell about all.
Surviving besides his wife Gail (McLeod) Poineau, are 5 children, Dee ( Rick) Holt, Anna
(Mike) Pitts, Michelle (Don Hayden) Anderson, William Poineau JR,
Christine (Wade) Conklin; grandchildren, Brian Cuddie, Amber Cuddie,
Lydia (Ryan) Simpkins, Randy Hills, William (Jessica Kuligowski) Poineau
III, John (Christina) Conklin, Nicholas Conklin, Stefanie (Mathew) Pluto,
Angela Conklin and Lacy Conklin; great-grandchildren, Willard Newman,
Sha'Rees Newman, Aidan Conklin, Elijah Pluto and Baby Pluto. Also surviving are his
brothers and sisters, Lucille Watz, Roy (George) ( Noreen) Poineau,
Genevieve (Kenneth) Cooper, Joanne (Joseph) Wisniewski, Nancy (Roger)
Lichon, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Margaret Torras, Irene Fijak,
Daniel Poineau, Bernard Poineau, Louis Poineau, Floyd Poineau, Edward

A Memorial Service will take place at Calvary Community Church 2895 East Moore Road,
Saginaw MI 48601. Friends may call on the Family from 11:00 am till time of
