Archie was someone you could always sit down with and have a fascinating conversation. He had a razor sharp wit, and that Scotch-Irish sense of humor that allowed him to tell a person to go to hell and have that person look forward to the trip. In many ways he was a renaissance man. I wish I had been able to spend more time with him; it would have been fine well spent.
