Obituary of Jerome Francis Schoener

In Loving Memory of Our DAD Schoener, Jerome “Jerry” Francis Clear Lake, West Branch, MI Jerry, age 87 passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit Michigan. “His body just couldn’t keep up with his mind.” He was born in Detroit Michigan on February 1, 1934 to the late Stephen Joseph and Francis Veronica (Blaszkiewicz) Schoener. He lived a full life, and grew up on the family’s farm. He would reminisce how much he had enjoyed it. He worked at Sinai Hospital, in Heat Treat for Chrysler, had a Boilers License, and his career changed to Office Building Management. He then specialized in HVAC. In addition, he had a side business of commercial and residential renovation and construction. He owned and remodeled a home on Elni Lake which he later sold. He then built a home on Clear Lake, to which he would retire. Although he loved golf, fishing, and traveling, hunting season was his favorite time of year. He is survived by his children, John, Janice, and Steven; grandchildren, Kimberly, Elizabeth, Harrison, Felicia, Jeremy, and Josh; great-grandchildren, Kate, John Travis, Matthew, and Madeline (due June 9th). He was predeceased by his wife of over 40 years, Mary De Bruijn Schoener; his son, Jim; and siblings, Dolores, Jean, Gertrude, and Robert.
