Obituary of Harrison Clyde Jahr
Harrison Clyde Jahr passed away peacefully at the Veteran’s Hospital Community home in Saginaw MI on Tuesday March 30, 2021. The son of Walter and Rose Jahr was born in AuSable MI, on August 26, 1925.
At the age of 17 Harrison left high school to join the U.S. Military where he served in WWII as a Gunnery Mate on the USS Francis Drake. When Harrison returned from the War he married the late Marie Herber Jahr on March 8, 1950. That unity blessed them with a son, Timothy Jahr.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Timothy; his daughter, Hailie Jahr; her mother,
Paulette Jeske; faithful companion, Buster; close friends, Tom and Joyce; and a brother, Donald (Shirley) Jahr. Harrison was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; brother, Ramon Jahr; and sister, Jenny Vader. The family would like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, Saginaw MI for their kindness over the last several weeks. A private family service and interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery, Bay City Michigan.
