Obituary of Kelli Jean Orvis
Kelli Jean Orvis, age 60, of Midland, passed away unexpectedly March 18, 2021. She was born in Midland on May 14, 1960 to the late Maxwell and Myrtle (Skutt) Smith.
Kelli was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She graduated from Bullock Creek High School in 1977 and completed medical office specialist courses at the Pontiac Business Institute in 1989. She recently retired from Mid-Michigan Health as a medical transcriptionist and was enjoying retired life. She loved family game nights, cooking family meals, spending time at the Mackinaw Bridge and exploring the UP, bowling parties, planning scavenger hunts, movies, and taking the grandchildren on adventures.
Kelli is survived by her children, Tosha (Josh) Mecomber, Tonia Orvis, and Ryan (Amber) Orvis, all of Midland; four grandchildren, Brooklyn Duranceau, Rylee Mecomber, Jacob Orvis, and Logan Mecomber; four siblings, Dennis Aldridge, Rusty Fishtorn, Sue Brink, and Chuck Smith; former spouse and father of her children Dean (Trish) Orvis; and many other loving family members and friends. Kelli was an integral member to our close family and will be deeply missed by anyone lucky enough to call her family or friend.
A private chapel service will be held at Midland Memorial Gardens on April 2, 2021 at 3:00 pm for immediate family, followed by a graveside service open to all at 3:30 pm. Those wishing to honor Kelli’s memory may send flowers to Midland Memorial Gardens.
