Obituary of Jay Lee Galehouse

Jay Lee Galehouse, age 72, passed away at his home in Saint Louis, MI on January 24, 2021. Jay was born at Smith Memorial Hospital in Alma, MI on September 14, 1948 to the late Lucy Violet and Chester Joseph Galehouse. Jay lived in the Gratiot County area all of his life. Jay enjoyed spending his time working on automobiles and tinkering with just about everything. He attended Maple Rapids Church, where a special friendship was formed with Pastor Lang and family. He will be truly missed, but not forgotten, as he will remain in our hearts and memories forever. Jay is survived by his sisters, Ruth Cool of Alma, MI and Lois Bywater of Macon, GA; his stepdaughter, Wanda; step-grandchildren, Macy, Terrance and McKenzie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Diane (Kirkey) Galehouse; 3 brothers, Lloyd Galehouse, Fred Galehouse Sr., and Larry Galehouse; and 2 sisters, Betty Parcher and Fern Galehouse.
