I remember Francis Vincent :Butch" Schmidt as the tall cousin, with the distinctive deep voice, who excelled
as a pitcher in baseball. When my family drove from Pittsburg, PA back to Michigan for vacations I occassionaly slept
overnight at the Schmidt's home on Cherry Street in Saginaw..The large family of my cousins in the house
was loud wiith merriment. Jerry, Paul, Butch and i would take our gloves and bats over to the neighborthood
park and play baseball. A lot of memories shared with the Schmiodt's.
