Obituary of Robert John Cavanaugh

Cavanaugh, Robert J. “Bob” Bay City, MI Robert J. Cavanaugh died Friday, November 27, 2020, a retired longtime businessman, he owned Cavanaugh Insurance Agency for many years. The Cavanaugh Insurance Building was designated a historic landmark on Bay City’s West Side. He was born in Bay City, Michigan, April 24, 1926 to the late Thomas E. and Mary Cavanaugh. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and served in the U.S. Navy on an LST. After the war, he graduated from MSU with a degree in Business. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Anne Cavanaugh and Patricia (Blair) Robb. He was predeceased by his daughters Mary and Cathleen. A Memorial Service is being planned for April 24, 2021. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Boys and Girls Club of the Great Lakes Bay Region or the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City.
