Obituary of Theodore L. Abbenante

Abbenante, Ted Saginaw, Michigan Ted (aka T.L.; Theodore L.), age 88, passed away at home on Tuesday November 24, 2020. Theodore L. was born in Saginaw on September 16, 1932 to the late Anthony and Edna (Pickelman) Abbenante. He courageously lived and thrived for 41 years being blind. He loved music, playing his tenor saxophone, and when he was able, playing slow pitch softball, and water skiing. Mr. Abbenante is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bette Jo Abbenante. Also surviving are his children, Dave (Mary) Abbenante of Texas, Phillip (Deborah) Abbenante of California, and Perry (Erica) Abbenante of Texas; his step-daughter, Susan Ricker of California; brother, Richard Abbenante; 2 sisters, Nancy Miller and Patsy Baertsch. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Abbenante. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48638 (MASKS & SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED). Pastor Paul Biber and Deacon Jeff Rauschert will officiate. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
