Obituary of Joseph L. Patterson

Patterson, Joseph L. “Larry” Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Health-Source Saginaw at the age of 83. Larry was born June 18, 1937 in Detroit Michigan. He married Sharon Jacques on January 13, 1963 and she predeceased him. He enjoyed bowling, going to the casinos, and working on his bicycles. Surviving to cherish his memory are four children, Ann (Scott) Manry, Amy (Kevin) Henze, Joseph (Wanda) Patterson, Jr., and Alice (Nicholas) Almond; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Ann Persinger; one brother, James Letson; sister-in-law, Karen Jacques; brother and sister-in-law, Alger and Janice Jacques; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Grace (Patterson) Letson, step-father, Francis Letson, five sisters, two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and three brothers-in-law. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Zion Lutheran Church, 545 7th Street, Freeland Michigan with Pastor Robert Schmidt officiating. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service from 1-2 p.m., with the service being live-streamed.
