Obituary of Monika A. Kott
Kott, Monika A.
Morrice, MI
Monika Angelika Kott, age 64, passed away November 15, 2020. She was born in Mannheim, West Germany on May 20,1956, to Gunter and Luisa (Philippe) Zuschke.
Monika enjoyed the basics in life. She was a hard worker and spent the end of her working days in quality control for a food packaging business. She had a green thumb and especially loved her flower gardens. She was a master at jigsaw puzzles and indulged in scratch off lottery tickets. Fishing was a hobby of hers and she relished the thought of what birds may feed from her many bird houses. Each holiday, big or small, brought her joy as she never lost that childlike magic. She also was proud of her German heritage and culture.
She is survived by husband whom she married in 2007, Joseph Kott, of Morrice, MI; children, Melanie (David) Jelinek of Perry, MI, April Ayotte (WD Jones) of Lansing, MI, Heidi Ayotte (Kris Armstrong) of Owosso, MI, Eric (Jessica) Ayotte of Travis AFB, CA, and their father, Alan Ayotte of Owosso, MI; step-daughters, Pam (Michael) Karstendick, Ilia Spitzer, and Makayla Kott all of Oregon; grandchildren, Alyssa Jelinek, Taylyn and Trevon Ayotte, Makayla Thompson, WD Jones, Anthony Tyler, Trenten Ayotte, Levi Manial, Obi Armstrong, Lukas, Noelle, Gavin, and Rhett Ayotte; and many siblings, nieces, and nephews in Germany and Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Edda Abu Zaarour. A celebration of life is being planned for May 2021. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions, in honor of Monika, to Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
