Obituary of Stephen Whiting

Mr. Whiting, age 72, died on Monday September 21, 2020. Stephen was born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan on January 15, 1948 to the late Richard and Anita (Bouts) Whiting. He married Merrie Donnelly and he was the love of her life and best friend for 38 years. Stephen served in the Michigan Army National Guard. He retired from General Motors after many years of service. Stephen loved his family, dogs and cats, and enjoyed working in his yard. He also enjoyed fishing and reading, and going on trips with his wife. After he retired from GM he enjoyed helping at Merrie's school before she retired. Mr. Whiting is survived by his wife Merrie, 4 daughters, April Cline of Bay City, Michigan, Amber (Bob) Trierweiler of Saginaw, Michigan, Sarah (Aaron) Schultz of Clio, Michigan and Cheri Ames of Millington, Michigan; 7 grandchildren, George Kanai, Chris Kanai, Jacob Kanai, Remington Shultz, Rory Schultz, and Lucas and Ryan Ames; his brothers, Michael (Jennifer) Whiting of Burt, Michigan and James (Gayle) Whiting of Burt, Michigan. He was predeceased by his sons, Stephen Whiting, Zachary Whiting, and Rich Wisniewski. Honoring Stephen's wishes, there will be no memorial service.
