Obituary of Barbara C. Rosebush

Rosebush, Barbara C. Bay City, Michigan Barbara Clara Rosebush, age 87 passed away September 20, 2020. She was born in Bay City Michigan on May 20, 1933, to Frederick and Dorothy(Collins) Martens. She was a member of both St. Maria Goretti and St. Mary's Churches. She worked for J.C Penney Corporation and Bay Metro Transit. Barbara enjoyed many years at their cottage in Secord Lake where she would enjoy boating and suntanning, earning the nick name of "Sun goddess". She loved to laugh and spend time with family and friends, earning other nicknames such as, Cluck, Wanda, Angle tooth and Joey. She loved to dance and show everyone "The boogie woogie". She is survived by her husband of 70 years, George William Rosebush Jr. of Bay City (Georgy Boy Good Looking Guy). Barbara was a loving mother and is survived by 4 children, Donald (Donna) Rosebush of Bay City MI, Leigh Ann (David) Bannan of Fort Worth Texas, Lynn Rosebush of Bay City MI, and Thomas (Stacy) Rosebush of Bay City MI. Barbara is also survived by 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Norene) Martens Bay City MI; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jared Rosebush, her sisters, Nancy (Pete) Richardson of Bay City MI and Kay Casper Bay City MI. A private interment will be planned later.
