Russ was great guy, I really enjoyed our conversation. We both worked for GM and he would always tell me to transfer to the proving grounds. After his retirement I would see him at Spags, he would have the biggest table with as many of his family that could make it and buy the pizza. Gods speed, you will be missed but you will live in our memories.

My best childhood memory is being threatened by my parents that we had to soend time with Russ as punishment. We straightened right up becuase we always thought of him as this gruff man. So glad I got to know him these past years. Nicest man I could ever imagine. He will be greatly missed!!

One of the times that I won't forget, is the day that I got to ride with russ, in one of his classic cars that he loved so much. We took it out for a ride with the Williamston Eagle Riders club, on one of the rides that they had. Russ knew I didn't have a car at the time and so he offered me a ride in one of his cars. I won't forget it. That day was so much fun and the weather was perfect and the looks that Russ and I got, when we stopped at stoplights along the route we took, was pretty awesome. I didn't know russ real well, but not sure that we had to know each other well either. Our being Eagle members just did it for us. I appreciate the times I could sit and have a drink with him and we would just shoot the breeze and have a good conversation. Gonna miss ya Russ, I won't lie. But I know, that you are working on a classic car up in the great heavens. RIP Brother!
