94 years ago on December 5th, 1925 this beautiful lady was born in NY. Not until she was 2 1/2 years old would she be named Dorothy Clair Rogerson. By God's plan, she was adopted by Reginald and Mabel Rogerson. Even though her first 2 1/2 years were probably less than desirable, she found her home with loving parents. Yes this is my mother's start to her life and tonight at 9:20 PM she has joined the two loves of her life JESUS and her loving husband, our Dad Robert Warns in heaven. For the past 8 years since Dad went to heaven, Mom was watched by our Angel Diane (the youngest sibling of 7), and her husband Terry along with their kids Nate and Kyle Diamond. Diane has a wonderful group of friends lead by Jan Hatfield who watched over and became the closest of friends to Mom. I'm sure there were many helpers and we thank each of you for your tireless love and care of Mom who suffered from Dementia/Alzheimer's. Our family, 7 Kids (Cathy, Connie, Bob, Carol, Richard, Paul (the favorite), and Diane, each with a spouse, (19 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, with many more to come) were blessed by Mom's teaching to take care of those less fortunate. Mom and Dad were always giving their time, talent, and treasure to the hungry and the veterans . They were awarded volunteer's of the year, recognized in Washington DC for their service to the VA home near Kansas City. They had a special spot in their hearts for those who served, as Dad was a WWII and Korean War Marine fighter pilot. They moved more than 30 times and my older sisters and brother were military brats ( even though Dad retired from the marines and went into business when I was young, some might have called the last 3 three of us the BRATS). We were lucky enough to be with her in her final days to ask her to pray for us when she gets to heaven, and thank her for how amazing she was as our Mother.
