Obituary of Eugene S. Haranda

Haranda, Eugene S. Pinconning, Michigan On Saturday January 18, 2020 Eugene passed away at the age of 93, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Eugene was born on December 31, 1926 to the late Peter and Blanche Haranda. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. On September 12, 1953 he married the former Lillian Dubay, and together they raised five children. Eugene retired from Dow Chemical after 34 years of service. He served his community for many years as a Bay County Commissioner and Bay County Road Commissioner. Eugene was a life time farmer. He is survived by his wife Lillian, their five children; Mike (Diana) Haranda, Janice (James) Duley, Carol (Dennis) Dashkovitz, Edward (Beth) Haranda and Diane (Doug) Haranda. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his infant son, grandson, three brothers and a sister. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday February 8, 2020 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 739 W. Cody Estey Road, Pinconning, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
