Obituary of Joyce S. Osborne

Joyce S. Osborne July 15, 1940 - November 29, 2019 Our amazing and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend Joyce S. Osborne, age 79, of Saginaw was called home Friday November 29, 2019. Her life's journey was completed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family following a short battle with cancer. Joyce was born in Penfield, NY to the late Donald C. and Dorothy (Shaw) Turner. Joyce's love of her family and church family were shown in her everyday actions. She was an avid quilter, seamstress, cake and candy maker, fantastic cook, and talented crafter. Joyce spent many years singing as a member of the church choir and Saginaw Choral Society. She sewed and donated many, many blankets and infant sets to children's charities and animal rescues. Left to cherish and celebrate her life's work are five children and their spouses, Lauren (Ted) Goyarts, Elizabeth Schafer and fiancé Brian Duve, Andrew (Irene) Ferguson, Jennifer Hahn and Donald Ferguson; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Peter, Jake and Erin Goyarts, Jason and Kara Reinert, Michael Ferguson, Ray (Ericka) Ortega, Ashley (Chris) Backos, Kyle Ferguson, Sarah and Zachary Hahn; 9 great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her special church family. Joyce was predeceased by two sisters, Donna Klaers and Doris Redfield; and a nephew, Eugene Klaers. We will gather to share the courage, character, integrity, strength and love that was Joyce, on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 12:00 pm with a Memorial Service at Chapel Lane Presbyterian Church, 5501 Jefferson Ave., Midland, Michigan. Family will be present from 10:00 am until the time of service to share time with family and friends. Per Joyce's request cremation has already taken place.
