Obituary of Donald D. Swinson

Don passed away on November 15, 2019, at the Tony and Trish House surrounded by his family. He was born to Alfred and Ella Maude (Hoist) Swinson on August 7, 1934 in Gladwin, MI. He was the youngest of 11 children. Sixty six years ago, he married Mary Gower on February 13, 1953. Together they raised one son, Mark. In the years since retiring from Saginaw Asphalt, Mary and Don, have enjoyed playing and winning Texas Hold Em around the community, discovering hidden treasures at local thrift shops, and spending time with their grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Mary, son Mark and daughter in law Sheri, grandchildren Alissha and Paul Shank and their children, Alexandra, Penelope, and Archer Shank, Bradley and Amy Swinson, and Kyle Swinson and his daughter Nara Swinson. Also sister in law Katy McIntosh, brother in law John (Butch) and his wife Carole Gower, his sister Ruth King and many many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff at the Toni and Trish House for their exceptional care, Also to the neighbors who have, and are helping out immensely. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial will take place at a later date.
