Obituary of Ivan M. Brechtelsbauer

Ivan M. Brechtelsbauer, Bay City, MI passed away on Oct 5th, 2019. He was 84. The last child born to the late Lenard and Helen Brechtelsbauer of Reese, MI. Preceded by his brothers and sisters; Ellen, Fred, Elda, Roy, twins Elmer and Wilmer, Jack, Inez, Lloyd and Jane. Ivan retired from Saginaw Steering Gear as a Skilled Trades machine repairman. He loved to play cards, and dice games, be around people and help out with household and remodeling projects with his kids. He also liked gardening, lawn work and driving. Ivan is survived by his 3 children; Penny (Mark) Tack of Reese; Mikel (Carrie) Brechtelsbauer of Rochester; Mark (Kim) Brechtelsbauer of Linwood. 10 grandchildren; Jamison Supanich of Ohio; Joshua (Justine) Supanich of Bay City; Reese and Paige Brechtelsbauer of Rochester; Kevin Brechtelsbauer of Bay City; Karissa (T.J.) Brechtelsbauer of Linwood; Drew (Ally) Tack of Maryland; Terry Tack of Texas; William (Brennan) Tack of Saginaw; and Sarah (Gus) Glaser of Frankenmuth. Great grandchildren 10 in all; Owen, Ella and Reagan Supanich; Mariska and Daiahnara Brechtelsbauer; Dylan, Madison, Lilly and Henry Tack; and Harlyn Rose Glaser. A traditional funeral will not take place. A day of celebration for Ivan will take place in the Spring of 2020. Date to be determined. Per Ivan's wishes he will be laid to rest next to his mom, in the Blomfield Township Cemetery, next to the Brechtelsbauer homestead on the corner of M-15 and Gera Road.
