Obituary of Ronald A. Mitchell

Mitchell, Ronald Millington, Michigan Ronald, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. He was born on March 13, 1958, to Louis and Karol (Michael) Mitchell in Flint, MI. Ron graduated from Kearsley High School in 1976. As a youth, he was a Life Scout of Flint Boy Scouts of America Troop 121 and later an Assistant Scout Master of Millington Boy Scouts of America Troop 552. Ron was a member of Michigan Carpenters Union, the Birch Run Moose Lodge #2426 and Millington Church of the Nazarene. Ron was an independent truck driver who enjoyed fishing and being on the water. He was a master of the barbecue. His children were his pride and joy. Along with his parents, he is survived by his son, Christopher (Kaylee) Mitchell; daughter, Shaylee Mitchell; Partner, Karen Huff and her daughter, Jessica; Brother, Larry (Sharon) Mitchell; sisters Tamra (Bill) Morales and Anngie Mitchell; his beloved dog, Angel; as well as many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, at 6 p.m. with visitation from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Birch Run Moose Lodge #2426, 12326 Gera Rd., Birch Run, MI 48415. The Birch Run Moose Lodge is also hosting a benefit dinner, auction and bake sale on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to the family to assist with expenses.
