We were heartbroken to hear the news of Dona's passing. Dona was the greatest friend-fun (Oh, the laughter), kind, considerate, loyal, generous, great listener, and could express her opinion. She always had your back.
We shared so much of our lives together from school in Drake to college in Minot to living and working in Minneapolis. She insisted that I go on that first date with my future husband 47 years ago. (She thought he was nice). She had a gift for handing out nuggets of good advice.
I will miss her tremendously. No matter the time or the miles spent apart, whenever we connected, the love was there. We were truly kindred spirits.
Rest in peace, Dona. BFF
