Obituary of Susan Kay Frost

Mrs. Susan Kay Frost Bridgeport, Michigan Beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Great Lakes Rehab. She was 81 years old. Susan Kay Miller was born on August 24, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Walter E. and Louise (Bugenske) Miller. Susan's mother was called home to the Lord when Susan was a young girl and Susan was then blessed with a step mother, the late Myrtle Miller. Susan married Donald LeRoy Clayton Frost on August 25, 1956. Donald and Susan were blessed with four children, Mark, Donald, Darryl, and Debra. Her husband went home to be with the Lord January 6, 2009. Susan retired from West Chester Village North in Saginaw Township where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed fishing, reading, camping, and the outdoors. Her greatest joy in life was raising her four children and being a grandmother. She always had lots of love to share. In earlier years, Susan was a member of St John Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan where she served for 20 years as Superintendent of Sunday School and as a Stephen Minister. She later became a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, Michigan and was an active member of their prayer group. Left to cherish Susan's memory are her children, Mark (Michelle) Frost of Ballston Spa, New York, Darryl (Michelle) Frost of Saginaw, Michigan; son-in law, Roger Schumann of Linwood, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Lynn Frost of Maryland; eleven grandchildren, Alexander Frost, Andrew Frost, Sarah (Robert) Rawlings, Brianna Frost, Emmitt Thorne, Rebecca Frost, Matthew Frost, Jordan (Claire) Frost, Justin Frost, Aaron (Rachel) Schumann and Aubrey Schumann; four great-grandchildren, Natalie Rawlings, Nathan Rawlings, Brandon Rawlings, and Alice Rawlings; sister, Nancy (James) Derderian; and step-brother, James (Margaret) Jorgenson. Susan was predeceased by her husband, Donald Frost, two children Donald Allen Frost, and Debra Schumann, and sister's Charlene Scott and Jacqueline O'Connor. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Faith Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, Michigan or Reverence Home Health and Hospice. According to Susan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service is being planned for April 6, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4241 Williamson Rd., Bridgeport, Michigan.
