I met Ellen at Messiah Lutheran Church, when she used to bring her Aunt, who was a member there. Ellen sang in my choir, when I was organist/choir director. She left after her Aunt passed away & went to her Methodist denomination. She used to really favor & wear a lovely shade of blue, that looked very nice on her. I had another lady in my choir, previously to Ellen joining, Vera Kaye. Vera also wore that same lovely shade of blue (a little brighter & more vibrant than "true-blue") frequently. Another choir members, Judy Treadway & I, dubbed it, "Vera blue!" Vera passed away, just prior to Ellen coming to Messiah Lutheran. We told Ellen about the "Vera blue" story & then we switched it to "Ellen blue!" Ellen was a delightful member of my choir, when she was in it. I then re-met her when she joined Bay Chorale. She was in charge of refreshments & fellowship, a position she held with grace, pride & devotion! She was a hard-working & was NEVER one to shirk her duties or committments! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, myself included!

You were the first to welcome me into our small community and always so full of life. You proved the point that age is just a number, as nothing could hold you down, always doing something. You were a fighter right up to the end. You put up a good fight Ellen rest in peace. I can see you and Marge just a talking away.
