Obituary of Timothy Joseph Cherry

Cherry, Timothy Joseph Auburn, MI Tim, a great man, passed away January 6, 2019 in the privacy of his own home at the age of 76 years. He was born in Saginaw Michigan on August 30, 1942 to the late Joesph and Eleaner (Zinck) Cherry. He was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School and was of the Catholic Faith. He went on to become a Tool and Die Maker with a machine company in Saginaw. After that, he joined the Saginaw Police Department and then became a Sheriff Deputy for the Montrose Police Department. Timothy loved working in law enforcement and told his family many stories. He was a true jokester. He loved his Corvettes and Cadillacs and most of all, he loved his powerboat "The Instigator". He is survived by and will be truly missed by his two daughters, Kellie (Steve) Doyle, Kammy Dashner (Timothy Drummond); five grandchildren, Jessica and Ashley McGregor, Madison and Taylor Dashner and Keegan Doyle; two great grandchildren, Kamya and Kinsley West; a nephew, Joseph Cherry; and one niece, Terry (Donald) Riedlinger. Timothy was preceded in death by his wife Karen (Robinson) Cherry, and his brother Mike Cherry. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering was held. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Bay County Department on Aging (Meals on Wheels), 515 Center Ave., Suite 202, Bay City, MI.
