Virginia M. Straub of Bay City, Michigan, age 95, was called home to celebrate Christmas with Jesus on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. She was born in Bay City, Michigan on August 14, 1923 to the late Leo E. and Mary I. (Ostrander) Essex.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Kathleen (Gary) Sharrard; 5 grandchildren, Debra (James) Kochany, David Ward, Dennis (Tonia) Ward, Mark Sharrard, Michele (Scott) Biskner; several great & great-great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Pocket. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert F. Straub; daughter, Caroline H. Ward; son,Kenneth Nellett; brother, Ernest Essex: sisters, Elizabeth Yax, Leona Chatfield, Betty Essex, and Rose Mary Neveau.
