Obituary of Barbara K Thorne-DePottey

Thorne-DePottey, Barbara K. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Thorne-DePottey, age 70, died on Thursday November 23, 2018. Barbara was born in Bay City on November 27, 1947 to the late Russell and Irene (Elsen) Itter. Barbara grew up riding motorcycles with her family and friends. The joy of her life was going out dancing. She was a member of Teamsters Union, she retired from Made Rite Potatoe Chip Co. and Dollar Tree. Barbara was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Club, Bay City. Barbara is survived by her 2 children; Brenda (Carl Harris) Thorne-Harris and Russell Thorne. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Dustin Robinson, and Amanda (Daniel) Haney, 4 great grandchildren; Myami, Daniel, Christopher and Caleb, sister Diana (Ed) LaClair and sister in law Barb Itter and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald DePottey, sister Jacqueline Mayville, and 2 brothers; Elwood "Bob" Itter and Ronald Itter. A life celebration will be held from 12:30 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday December 8, 2018 at Fraternal Order of Eagles Club, 350 River Road, Bay City, Michigan 48708. Reverend Arlyn Willett will officiate at 1:00 P.M.. In lieu of flowers those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wishes of the Family.
