Obituary of Lois M. Grim

Grim, Lois Birch Run, Michigan Lois Marian Montei Grim of Birch Run passed away on October 22, 2018. She was 78 years old. Memorial service will be held at Hopevale Church in Saginaw, MI on November 2 at 11 am. A luncheon will follow the service. Lois is preceded in death by her father, Blendford Montei and mother, Alice Reavey Montei, both of Caro, MI and her second husband, Ronald Grim of Birch Run, MI. She is survived by her brothers Fred Montei and Lee (Joan) Montei, first husband, Robert E. Burk, son Robert E. Burk Jr., son Lee Burk, daughter Laura Burk (Todd) Hall , step-son Russ (Sue) Grim , ex-daughter-in-law Sheila Burk, and grandchildren Ryan, James, Brianne, Matthew, and Adam. Lois was born in Caro, MI on March 26th, 1940. She attended Caro high school and was part of the marching band. She graduated from Caro in 1958. She then moved to Saginaw where she met and married her first husband Robert Burk in November 1960 and became mom to her three children Robert, Lee, and Laura. She earned her medical assistant certificate and worked in the office of Dr. Bergeon until her retirement in the early 90's. She attended Hopevale Memorial Church in Saginaw and was a long time member and volunteer. After retirement she met and married her second husband, Ronald Grim, in October of 1998. She became a member of the Gideons, Via De Cristo, and volunteered with Michigan Youth Challenge Academy out of Kalamazoo. She enjoyed traveling and saw her dream of visiting the Holy Land with Ronald. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their many school, music, and sporting events. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but they have peace knowing she is completely whole and is with her Lord and Savior.
