Obituary of George Joseph Moore

George Joseph Moore of Caro, MI returned to his heavenly home on Monday evening, August 27, 2018. George was born May 21, 1938 in Beaver Falls, Michigan, the son of immigrants Joseph and Mary Moore. George was preceded in death by the love of his life, Maxine Moore (Phillips) of over 56 years. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service in the automotive industry. George had a wonderful sense of humor and loved the Lord and his family. He enjoyed southern gospel music and played the violin for many years. George is survived by daughters, Amy (Mark) Greaves of Caro, Christine (Kerry) Anderson of Caro, Debi George of Monett, Missouri, and Heather Kenworthy of Macomb; sons, Robert (Danielle) Moore of Lansing and Paul (Donna) Moore of Bridgeport; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents (Mary and Joseph Moore of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania); his brother Edward Moore and sister Violet Powell. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator. George will be cremated with a celebration of life service on what would have been his and Maxine's 57th Wedding Anniversary, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2 PM at Dayton Center Church,3633 Phelps Lake Road, Silverwood, Michigan 48760.
