Obituary of Helen M. Richards

Richards, Helen Marjorie Saginaw, Michigan Helen passed away peacefully July 22, 2018 with family at her side at the home of her grandson Steven in Oklahoma. She was 94 years old. Helen Rowe was born on April 28, 1924 to the late Edward and Helen Rowe. She married Herbert Jack Richards on March 2, 1945. He predeceased her on July 9, 1993. Helen and Jack were very active in the VFW and she continued to be active in the Auxiliary after Jack died. Helen also volunteered in many ways at her church, including the READ program and the SPREAD program. Helen is survived by her son, Edward (Linda) Richards; a granddaughter, Heather Ellis; two grandsons, Edward (Heather) Richards and Steven (Bobby Mathis) Richards; many great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her son Brian Richards and grandson Dennis Richards. A Memorial Service for Helen will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, August 20, 2018, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw MI. Friends are welcome to visit with the family prior to the service from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
