Obituary of Richard William Sweatland

Sweatland, Richard William St. Charles, MI Richard "Dick" passed away at home on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Age 80 years. He was born December 14, 1937 to the late Charles and Martha (Camp) Sweatland. He was married to Anna Kassin for 61 years, and she survives him. He was a member of The First Baptist Church. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, his church, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife Anna, he is survived by his sons, Joseph (Rolanda) Sweatland and Douglas (Michelle) Sweatland; daughter, Lori (Ronald) Healy; six grandchildren, Richard (Dana), Steven, Sarah, Jon Sweatland, Casey and Austin Healy; three great grandchildren; and one sister, Jackie Stickler. He was predeceased by two children, Richard Jr. and Jean Ann, one brother and two sisters. Per Dick's request, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, July 16, 2018, at The First Baptist Church of St. Charles, with Pastor Darold English officiating. The family will receive visitors prior to the service at church from 11 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to The First Baptist Church of St. Charles or the City Rescue Mission of Saginaw.
