Obituary of Thomas S. Bartlett

Bartlett, Thomas Steven 03/05/1960 – 04/01/2018 Saginaw, Michigan It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Bartlett announces his passing after a lingering illness, on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at the age of 58. The son of John (Jack) and Muriel (Dark) Bartlett was born March 5, 1960, in Saginaw, MI. He was a graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School and then spent time in Texas working on the oil rigs. Tom spent most of his career working as a Union Carpenter for Local 1028. Tom enjoyed boating, hunting, golfing, snowmobiling and just having fun. He was very generous with his time and talents, and would help anyone in need. Tom is survived by his wife, Gerrie (Sharpe). Surviving besides his wife and parents, are two brothers and two sisters, Greg (Amy) Bartlett, Jeff (Diane) Bartlett, Karen (Doug) Haenlein, Trisha (Kevin) Buda; sisters-in-law, Linda (Larry) Lapak, Bonnie (Greg) Talik; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom was predeceased by his grandparents; a nephew, Ryan Bartlett; and his canine companions, Bart and Tahoe. Honoring Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A prayer service and opportunity to share memories will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Apple Mountain, 4519 N. River Road, Freeland, followed by a Celebration of Life from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to Saginaw County Animal Care Center.
