Dear Family of Art,
I only knew Art for a short time, 1 year actually, when I was an Electrician Apprentice and rotated through SSG Plt. #5. Art taught me a lot about a specialty that he was very adept at--that being--Silver Soldering High Frequency Induction Coils that were used to heat treat parts (to a very high temperature) required to harden them in order to lengthen how long they would last on a vehicle. These parts were used in front wheel drive GM vehicles. He was a Master at his trade and I fondly remember the time that he spent with me, in that year, teaching me all the intricacies of what was required to get the job done. He definitely left an impression on me that has lasted all these years--(probably around 40) He was a very good man that certainly has left his mark! Thanks Art for being a good teacher. May he rest in Peace!!
