Obituary of Sharon "Sheri" K. Ziehm

Sharon "Sheri" K. Ziehm, 71, of Ubly, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at her home under hospice care. She was born February 21, 1946 in Bad Axe to Arlene (Rathbun) Regentin and the late Gilbert Regentin. She graduated in 1964 from Ubly High School. She attended beauty school thereafter and later worked as a proofreader for the Tribune. She also had logged many hours toward a Pilot's License and was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Sheri was everybody's friend with a gift to gab and had a way to make anyone laugh. She loved her family and friends, especially her many pets. Sheri is survived by her mother, Arlene of Ubly; one son, Troy (Kimberly) Ziehm of Ubly; two grandchildren, Zachary and Hally Ziehm; two step grandchildren, Sarah and Laura Peters; one step great grandchild, Eli Ashcroft; one brother, Gary (Cheryl) Regentin of Commerce Twp.; two sisters Kimberly (Michael) Ickes of Manistee, Lisa Brown of Albany, NY; her former husband and father of her children, Fred Ziehm of Ubly; long time close friend Albert Curtis of Sarasota, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Nathan and Jason Ziehm; and her father, Gilbert Regentin. To honor Sheri's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a funeral service at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe on Friday, February 16, 2018. Sheri's family will welcome family and friends for visitation from 10am - 11am with a service to follow at 11 am. Pastor Kenneth Lueke will officiate.
