Obituary of Sherri L. Strait

Sherri was born November 2, 1956 in Rogers City to Lois (Morgan) and Anthony Fuhrman. She was married to John Strait on January 4th, 1975, celebrating 43 wonderful years of marriage together. Sherri enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as camping and watching Jeopardy. As her illness progressed, she was homebound and passed her time cheering on the Detroit Tigers with her Husband, Father and Sister. Survived by her husband John Strait, and her three children: Rhonda(Donald) Sturgeon, Katherine(Michael) Taylor, Johnny (Emily Phillips) Strait, her siblings: Yvonne(Anthony) Crawford, Anthony(Brenda) Fuhrman, Mark(Shannon) Fuhrman, and her six grandchildren: Kaine Sturgeon, Sierra Sturgeon, Skyelar Sturgeon, Rhiannon Moeller, Taelyn Moeller, and Lane Phillips-Strait. Sherri leaves behind a very special friend, Julie Youmans- Brown. In addition, Sherri is predeceased by her mother, Lois Fuhrman, and her granddaughter, Destiny Moeller. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you were loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. There will be no services at this time, in lieu of flowers, financial donations are welcome, in care of John Strait, to help Sherri's family with expenses. A Celebration of Life will be taking place at a later date.
