Obituary of Jolene Elizabeth Beach

Jolene Elizabeth Beach, of Bay City, passed away January 13, 2018 unexpectedly at the age of 57. She was born on May 18, 1960, in Midland, to the late John Russell Houvener Sr. and Eloise Mae (Malecha) Houvener and given the name June Louise Houvener. Jolene enjoyed camping, archery, journaling, writing poetry, reading, knitting, and making afghans. She was a member of the Canada Creek Ranch for many years and enjoyed spending time on the property spotting elk and other wildlife. Jolene is survived by her children, Rachel Rivard, Jonathon Rivard, Kelly Van Paris, and Douglas Van Paris and her grandchildren, Isabella Earle and Ethan Earle. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, John (Geraldine) Houvener Jr., Julia Ann (Eugene) Pomranky, Janine (Lynn) Hughes (Martin Hager), and James (Sheila) Houvener. Following Jolene's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 11:00 AM, at St. Gabriel West Campus (formerly St. Anthony) in Auburn with Father Tom Sutton officiating. Visitation with the family will begin an hour prior to the service and a meal will follow the service.
