Obituary of Mary Lou Watkins

Mary Lou Watkins, 63, of Beaverton was called home to be an angel for the Lord on January 5, 2018 while surrounded by family. She was born on November 11, 1954 to Arnold Rider and Mae Rider. She is survived by her mother Mae Rasmussen; her husband, Jesse James Watkins of Beaverton; daughter, Bobbie Jo Rider of Midland; son, Jesse James Watkins II of Midland; granddaughter, Jade Skye Watkins of Missouri; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose (Bill) Hall of Midland, Susy Secrist of Nebraska, Ruth Seelye of Midland, Storm (Connie) Rider of Tennessee; brother, David Rider of Beaverton; many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Rider; son Paul Watkins; brothers, Arnold Rider Jr. and Raymond Rider. Mary was a dedicated wife and mother who also worked as a caregiver for many years in the community. She loved to laugh, spend time with family which included camping and vacationing. While at home, Mary enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, and crafting. She loved shopping, especially garage sales, collecting many different treasures. Mary loved gardening and her flowers during the summer months. Oh Mary how does your garden grow?! Mary had a giving spirit and often helped others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
