Brown, Paula Jean
Saginaw, MI
Paula Jean Brown passed away October 12, 2017 at the age of 67. She lived a full life and touched many lives. She graduated with a BSN from Michigan State University and received her MSN/FNP while residing in California. While living in California she worked as a Public Health Nurse for Humboldt County and continued to focus her passion for helping people by working in the Saginaw area in a wide variety of roles after moving back to Michigan. Her first job was in a small private practice in St. Charles, Michigan working with Dr. Renato Lee. From there she worked at the Veterans Administration, Health Delivery, Valley Urgent Care, RediMed, and with Dr. Nadolski in Midland. She touched many lives with her deep, unwavering compassion and love. Her hobbies and interests were many and varied; enjoying the outdoors, camping, gardening, kayaking, spending time at the beach, traveling, cooking, baking, canning, yoga, and sharing it all with others. There was also a spot in her heart for all of the creatures of the world.
She is survived by one daughter, Shondra Rose Lyon-Brown of Fargo, North Dakota. She was predeceased by her mother, Virginia Brown (VanPelt), and her sister Karen Bailey (Brown).
In lieu of flowers, Shondra asks that you spend time outside with loved ones, or make a donation to a charity that will help make the world a better place.
