Obituary of Thomas D. Friedli

Friedli, Thomas D. Saginaw, Michigan Friedli, Thomas Dean of Saginaw, Michigan passed away peacefully on July 4th 2017 at 89 years of age. He was born on June 12, 1928 to Herman and Jesse (Burns) Friedli in Saginaw Michigan. He was a member of the Germania, Optimus Club and Saginaw Country Club. He started his career in the Friedli Dry Cleaning business and then managed and sold for Bastion Brothers Printing Co. Tom moved to Columbus Ohio in 1966. He ended his career being one of the top salesman for Midland Mutual Insurance Co. in Columbus Ohio. He moved back to Saginaw after his retirement in 1980. Tom is survived by his two daughters, Rickie Ann Distelhorst and Carrie Ann ( Bob) Weismantel; four grandschildren, Corey Anne (Mark Milan) Wirth, Adam (Amy) Wirth, Carla Weismantel and Robin Distelhorst. He was predeceased by his loving wife Carol Ann (Bremer) Friedli, his sister Dixie Drinan and brother in law James Drinan. There will be a memorial service at his Saginaw home on September 9, 2017 at 12 O'Clock noon. Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Cartwright Residence Center, Covenant visiting nurses/ Hospice. Tom will always be remembered as the gentle man of gentleman. He will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
