French, Dorthea Bay City, Michigan My Mother, Dorthea French past peacefully and painlessly, in the night on June 27, 2017. She was surrounded by her family. She was 73 years old. Dorthea was born in Mayville, Michigan on February 19, 1944 to the late Walter and Margaret (Coyer) French. She lived a hard, but happy life. She was full of joy and was the biggest goofball at the party. I've always believed that while she was being a single parent raising me, every hard decision, every sacrifice she made, every long hard day she worked, she did it for love of her only son. And that while she doted on every little thing I did as a child, the only thing I did that mattered as an adult was marrying her favorite daughter in law Sondra, and having and raising her two beloved grandchildren Tanner and Jenaye. This timing was on her terms, and was her decision. She sends her love to all in her final lucid moments. She was an awesome person, and will be missed.
