Chris, Scott, Sally and families please accept my sincere condolences. I pray that Rudy has met his maker and may Rest In Peace. Chris and Scott I don't believe we've ever met, Sally it's been many, many years but we have met. My name is Fred Gifford and Rudy and I were good friends in high school. He lived just down the road from me and we got together quit often just to do kid things. A couple of the most memorable were when Rudys dad got two tickets to the 1965-66 Rose Bowl, gave them to Rudy and I and we drove my parents car nonstop to Pasadena for the parade and game between MSU and UCLA. We were Seniors in high school that year. Another time we drove my car, a 1950 Packard, up to Luther, Mi to visit a stay with his grandparents Rudy and I think Flossy Parisian. I believe it was on the return trip from there that the car broke down near St Louis and that's when I first met Sally and Jerry as Jerry came to tow us to his house where we spent the night and repaired the car the next day. In another adventure Rudy obtained a 1925 Dodge sedan from a field near Dobie lake, had Standard Block and Supply (a Parisian family business) tow it to his parents on Arbor Dr Okemos. Then Rudy a I attempted to restore it. Since high school we connected only a few times, once when he lived on Magnolia in Lansing, once while he lived in his parents home after their passing and a couple of times after he moved to St Louis. Rudy was always, kind, happy and caring, he will be missed immensely. I am fortunate to be able to say that he was, and in my memories still is, a true and trusted friend. God bless!
