Obituary of Lois L. Filiatraut

Filiatraut, Lois L. Saginaw, MI Lois, age 87, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Lois was born on August 9, 1929 to the late George and Leah (Loiselle) Hillman. She married Frederick E. Filiatraut on April 23, 1949. They shared 62 years of marriage until he predeceased her on April 23, 2011. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and watching the Detroit Tigers. She is survived by her children, Michael (Susan) Filiatraut, Laura Filiatraut and Jeff Filiatraut, all of Carrollton MI; six grandchildren, Jaime (Scooter) Choate, Traci (Jason) Patrick, Ashley (Jordan) Newmeyer, Paige Filiatraut and fiance Justin Foley, Aaron and Alexis Filiatraut; five great-grandchildren, Cameron Choate, Lawson, Wyatt, & Tanner Patrick, and Addisyn Newmeyer; two sisters, Dorothy Branch and Janet (Ken) Maxon; brother-in-law, Bob Filiatraut; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation for the care provided by the Grace Hospice staff. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
