Obituary of Gary B. Silvernail

Silvernail, Gary B. Deford, MI Gary passed away on March 2, 2017 at his home in Deford MI. He was 75. He was born on 4/11/1941 in Highland Park, MI to the late Bruce and Martha (Compton) Silvernail. He retired from Swan Valley Schools where he was a Band Director and an Assistant Superintendant. In retirement, he was a professor of music and music theory at Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University to share his lifelong love of music. Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty (Wernette) Silvernail; brother-in-law, Anthony E. Mileski and niece Nancy (Fisher) Bruce. He is survived by his siblings, Patricia A. (Jesse) Bruce, Sharon L. (Eddy) Fosnight, and Sandra L. (Daniel) Houghton; nieces and nephews Jim (Marline) Bruce, Garry L. (Veronica) Bruce, Kim (Bruce) Jordon, Michael G. (Jody) Daudel, Michelle L. (David) Abedrabo and April M. (Aaron) Harrington, McKenzie L. (Stephen) Sigrimis and Jay D. (Elena) Houghton, and Dear friend Rita Vela as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Following his wishes, there will be no funeral service and he will be returned to his wife's side at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw, MI.
