Obituary of Patricia L. Parker
Parker, Patricia
Saginaw, Michigan
Patricia Parker, Saginaw resident and beloved mother, friend, and sister died peacefully in her home on February 24, 2017 with her children at her side.
Patricia was born on June 20, 1946 to J. Carlton and Betty Jane MacKenzie in Detroit Michigan. She and her two sisters, Linda and Laurie, enjoyed their annual family trips to Florida and summer vacations on Crystal Lake. Patricia was also actively involved in Brightmore Christian Church of Detroit, where the family were members. Patricia graduated from Warren High School in 1964.
In July of 1968, Patricia married Jim Parker of Saginaw. She and Jim had two children and Patricia remained in Saginaw where she lived out the rest of her life. For 25 years, she worked for FedEx where she met many people who joined her large circle of valued friends.
Patricia's greatest source of happiness and pride in her adult life were her children and her two beloved grandchildren, Morgan and Gabrielle Bagneschi, ages 12 and 6.
One of Patricia's favorite activities was spending time on Higgins Lake with family and friends. Patricia enjoyed swimming in the clear blue lake, taking in the fresh northern air, and spending good times around a campfire. Patricia also enjoyed personal growth workshops, reading a good book, and fun at the casino.
All those who loved her will remember her as vivacious and full of life and will all miss her generous spirit and wacky sense of humor. Patricia was steadfastly committed to those she loved and could be relied upon to listen with an open heart and speak from a place of truth and integrity.
