Obituary of Gary J. Krueger
Gary Joseph Krueger, 78, passed away January 13, 2017, with family by his side. He was born March 16, 1938, to the late Ethel and Joseph Krueger. Formally from Detroit, Michigan, Gary resided and raised his family in Gladwin, Michigan. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marilou Krueger; his brother, Jon (Fran) Krueger; his children, Steve Krueger, Teri (Kent) Broekstra, Mike (Lenna) Krueger and David (Kristie) Saterstad; his grandchildren, Kristopher Waddle, Greg Rau, Heather Krueger, Taylor and Mackenzie Broekstra, and Lily Saterstad; very special extended family and several very special friends. After a courageous 13 year battle with Parkinson's Disease, Gary has passed on to a more peaceful place where he can once again walk hand in hand with his late daughter, Kelly Rau. Gary's passions were tinkering outdoors, camping with family, watching his Detroit sports teams, playing the slots and golfing every possible minute. Everybody instantly loved Gary and his dry sense of humor. He was known for his long, long story telling that may or may not have an ending... Final arrangements were handled by the Cremation Society of Mid-Michigan. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Parkinson's Foundation or to Gladwin Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. To sign online guestbook visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com.
