Doris passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Hoyt Nursing Home in Saginaw, Michigan. Doris was born April 22, 1920 to the late William and Charlotte Piffer. Doris married Arthur Joseph Gibson April 21, 1945, and he predeceased her February 19, 1975. Doris was a member of St. Helen's Church. She loved to play bridge and euchre. Surviving are four children, David Gibson of TN, James (Jacquie) Gibson of AZ, Robert (Colleen) Gibson of FL, and Karen Gibson of Saginaw; 6 grandchildren, Amy Sparks, Mary Gibson, James (Kate) Gibson, Scott Gibson, Emily (James) Colon, Charles (Anne) Gibson; and12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother William (Kay) Piffer and sister Mary (Emil) Rivard. Following cremation a Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery.
