Obituary of Debra M. Colling

Colling, Debra Debra M. (Kurish) Colling, age 57, passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2016 after a long illness. She was born on June 16, 1959 in Caro, to Henry and Ruth L. (Heinlein) Kurish. Deb graduated from Caro High School in 1977 and was united in marriage to Timothy S. Colling on June 23, 1979. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University in 1985. She worked full time over the next decade and left the IRS in 1996 when her daughter Caitlyn was born. Deb was a loving wife and mother, and was deeply devoted to her husband and daughter. Her many "fur" babies: cats, bunny, and especially her beloved Dobermans also held a special place in her heart. Deb loved the outdoors. She enjoyed walking in the woods, gardening, and feeding the birds; along with various other critters who visited their home. She proudly "failed" as a pet foster mother because she could never adopt them out once they became a part her family. Deb also enjoyed traveling with her family, and started a small business baking all-natural dog treats in 2014. Deb is survived by, Timothy, her husband of 37 years, and daughter Caitlyn; her mother, Ruth Kurish; her sister Judy, and brothers James and David (Christine) Kurish; along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry; her infant brother George; her mother-in-law, Myrna Jo, her father-in-law, William Colling; and her brother-in-law Randall Colling. Honoring her request, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
