Mr. Rathka, age 78 died on Friday September 2, 2016 at West Branch Regional Medical Center, West Branch. Carl was born in Imlay City, Michigan on February 26, 1938 to the late Horace and Irene (Flangsberg) Rathka. Carl was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen. On August 25, 2016 he and his wife celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Mr. Rathka is survived by his wife Bonnie; his daughter and son, Terri Rathka of West Branch and Tim Rathka of West Branch. Also surviving are, granddaughter, Kelly Meyers of Grand Blanc; grandson, Dustin Rathka of Grand Blanc; great-grandson, Nathan; a brother and 2 sisters, Charles (Gerry) Rathka of Metamora, Adeline Plumb of Almont and Judy (Vaughn) Faulkner of Dryden; many nieces and nephews.
