Obituary of John Michael "Mike/Mickey" Jean

Jean, John Michael Saginaw, MI John Michael (Mike/Mickey) Jean, age 68, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June 2009...he beat it for seven years but it ultimately came back to claim him. He was a semi-truck driver for many years, a fact of which he was very proud. He was born August 6, 1948 to the late Clayton Valentine Jean and Mary Louise Hunter Jean. He has already left a gaping hole in the lives of our family, wife of 41 years, Christine Nowell Schultz Jean... daughter Tammy Dorion, her children Mitchell and Lia Mauricio...Eric Jean, his wife Pamela and daughters Abigail and Arielle Jean... Andrea Curtis, her husband Jerry and children Craig Curtis, Danyelle Sobus and husband Ryan, Vennessa Sobus and husband Austin, Anya, Alec and Harley Curtis...son Benjamin Jean and his daughter Noelle Jean...daughter Melanie McHenry, husband Ryan and their children Elijah and Maeva McHenry. He is also survived by three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Clayton Leroy Jean, a sister he never knew, his nephew Clayton Roberts and two beloved uncles, Lee and Ray Hunter. The family would like to extend special thanks to Denise at Americans Hospice and to Dr. Jane Castillo. He always checked the "biting list" to see if his name was there, and now it is. There will be no funeral and cremation has taken place per his wishes. Our family will have a gathering in his honor at a later date.
